If you are an art and photography enthusiast, come and participate in the Plein Air art event at Lippincott Manor. You will be surrounded with the captivating views of the Shawangunk Mountains, the Wallkill River and the property’s gardens. You can choose whatever subject inspires you, and capture it with your easel or camera on hand.
The Vision of Wallkill is excited to be partnering once again with the Wallkill River School for a Plein Air Event.
The day begins on Saturday, July 9, 2022 (rain date – Sunday, July 10) at Lippincott Manor, a gorgeous wedding venue situated on a hill looking out at the Shawangunk Mountains (aka The Gunks) in one direction, the Wallkill River in another and the gardens that enhance the property.
We will meet at 9:00 am and paint or photograph until 1:00 pm. Artists can choose whatever view inspires them. Water and bathrooms will be provided.
Participating artists agree to donate at least one of their pieces to the Vision of Wallkill for a Silent Auction to be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2:30 pm during the annual Weekend of Wallkill. The public will have several options to view the paintings and photographs and place bids. Artists shall provide a beginning bid price for their work and agree to split the proceeds of the sale of their artwork, 50% to the artist and 50% as a donation to Vision of Wallkill.
